No. Pocket Vet gives informational triage to help you decide how urgently to act. It's designed to flag emergencies and send you to a vet when needed — never to replace professional care.
How accurate is it?
It uses a capable AI model guided by safety rules that escalate red-flag symptoms to 'emergency.' It's a helpful first read, not a diagnosis. When in doubt, we always point you to a vet.
What if it's an emergency?
Certain symptoms — trouble breathing, suspected poisoning, a male cat unable to urinate, collapse — are always flagged as emergencies, and you should contact an emergency clinic immediately.
Which pets are supported?
Dogs and cats are best supported, with general guidance for rabbits, birds, and other pets. You can specify any animal.
How much does it cost?
Your first 5 checks are free, plus 1 free photo check every day. After that, Basic is $9.99/mo or $99/yr (unlimited text checks + 15 photo checks/month) and Pro is $14.99/mo or $149/yr (unlimited photo analysis, multi-pet profiles & reminders).
Is my data private?
Your checks are saved to your own account so you can review them. We don't sell your data. You sign in with Google to keep your history secure.
